Pawdometer for puppies
A walk tracker built for puppies
Puppies need many short walks and a record that does not push them to do more. Pawdometer counts a five-minute outing as a walk, estimates paw steps from the height you update as they grow, and keeps the weigh-ins a vet wants to see.

Any walk counts, however short
The five-minutes-per-month rule means a puppy's walks are short on purpose. Pawdometer's streak counts active days, not distance: a ten-minute outing keeps the flame, and awards are lifetime totals rather than single-walk stunts a puppy cannot do.
Paw steps that grow with them
Enter the shoulder height and the app estimates paw steps from the GPS distance; update the height every month or two as the puppy grows and the numbers stay honest. A 10-inch puppy takes about 19,000 paw steps in a mile.
Weigh-ins every few weeks
Puppies should be weighed every three to four weeks. Log each one in seconds, with a reminder, and bring the trend to the vet to plot against a growth chart.
Sniff breaks are part of the walk
A puppy walk is mostly stops. Pawdometer marks a stop of 30 seconds or more as a sniff break and keeps it out of the pace, so a slow, curious walk reads as what it was.

Questions
Can I use Pawdometer before my puppy can go outside?
You can set up the dog profile, height and weight from day one and log weigh-ins. Walks start when the vet clears public ground, usually after 14 to 16 weeks.
Does the app tell me how much to walk my puppy?
It measures what you did and shows it honestly; it does not set targets for puppies. The five-minutes-per-month rule in our puppy guide is the ceiling to keep in mind, and the streak never pushes for more.
Will the paw steps be accurate for a growing puppy?
As accurate as the height you enter. Re-measure at the withers every month or two while the puppy grows and the estimate tracks them.
